For fire control purposes, 2,000 metres of fire extinguisher lines and 9,000 sprinklers have been installed, with the lengths running into kilometres: some 1,500 kilometres of cable, for instance, 65 kilometres of cable conduit and twelve kilometres of plumbing lines are being installed. And 9,000 luminaries will illuminate the station.

The installations are largely concealed behind walls and ceilings. The surface area of the flat ceilings covers some 40,000 square metres, and there are also 40,000 square metres of wall surface to be painted. On platforms and station levels, 45,000 square metres of floor space are covered with natural stone, and a total of 1,500 square metres of special glass are required for the parapets.
