WLAN Hotspot

Wireless Access to the Internet at the Railway Station

skip: Wireless Access to the Internet at the Railway Station
Like 20 other ICE stations, Berlin Central Station has an WLAN hotspot from T-Mobile, so that travellers and visitors can surf the Internet in wireless form on the platforms or in the shopping areas.

Anyone with an WLAN-capable (Wireless Local Area Network) laptop can use this service. Use of the Internet at the railway stations is charged according to the WLAN hotspot rates of T-Com, T-Mobile or T-Online. Pay with your cell phone bill, fixed network bill or by credit card. Besides public Internet access, additional local information is available to travellers free of charge in the portal.

For more information, quick-dial T-Mobile from your cell phone: 2828; from the fixed network: 0180/330 2828, in the Internet: www.t-mobile.de/business/hotspot.

The hotspots at the railway stations are part of a co-operative arrangement between Deutsche Bahn and T-Mobile for also equipping ICE trains with WLAN technology. Wireless Internet access in trains is initially available on the test route between Cologne and Dortmund. During their journey rail travellers can receive and reply to e-mail and thereby avail themselves of a further service in the DB MobilityNet, the information and communication service for DB travellers. The trains are identified by the hotspot logo of T-Mobile.
