The Travellers' Aid Society at Berlin Hauptbahnhof

skip: The Travellers' Aid Society at Berlin Hauptbahnhof
The Travellers' Aid Society plays a central role at the station. It provides various services, pastoral care and attends to the social welfare of travellers and visitors to the station who are in need of help.

The Travellers' Aid Society ("Bahnhofsmission") provides information and assistance for travellers and strangers to the city.

The services are available to all travellers. The Society can arrange for staff to help weak or disabled people boarding or alighting from trains, and provides a safe and reliable service for collecting children who are travelling alone from the train. It can also arrange for assistance at other stations.

The Travellers' Aid Society is also an important point of call for the socially deprived, who can talk to the staff there to try to find a solution to their problems and conflicts. If necessary, it also arranges for further help in such cases. The Travellers' Aid Society offices have good connections to advice centres, welfare centres, emergency accommodation and consulates, for example. People in emotional distress can come here to find support and strength.

The Kids on Tour service means that parents can let their children travel alone without worrying. The staff of the Travellers' Aid Society guarantee continuous and safe care throughout the journey for children aged between 6 and 14.
