Rail concept for Berlin

The new rail concept for Berlin and the Greater Berlin Area was launched on 28 may 2006. It offers improved services, shorter journey times, more convenience and reliability.

European hub 

Fast access to the Berlin region and to European destinations

For journeys within Germany or to one of our neighbouring countries, the Berlin Hauptbahnhof is Europe's largest crossing station. DB is anticipating a six million increase in long-distance passengers to 19 million by the year 2010.

The rail concept for trouble-free train services in Berlin

The new rail concept for Berlin means shorter journey times and improved services. On long-distance services, the number of stops has increased by 13 percent. With the inauguration of Berlin Hauptbahnhof, changing trains has become much easier.
